so many visits!

For the past several months, I have been so blessed to have a lot of visitors.  After feeling pretty homesick and lonely for a while this fall, it meant so much for me to have people who I love come to see me.

First some of my college friends came to visit me.  Although we didn't do much sightseeing, we spent a lot of time talking and playing games and just spending really good time together.  We have all been in so many different places, different jobs, several of them are married, etc - so we had plenty to talk about.

Then my mom and grandpa came to visit and we spent the weekend out in the suburbs with my cousin Adam, his wife Tamara, and their baby Della.  When you have an 11 month old, what else do you need?  We spent the weekend laughing at Della, playing with Della, and helping her walk, etc.  And eating lots of great good.  And again, just enjoying each other's company.

And then last weekend my brother, Jonathan, came to visit me.  I honestly don't think I've ever spent a whole weekend with just my brother.  We haven't lived in the same place since I was in high school, and we didn't exactly get along the best back then.  Time and distance changed that though, and we've grown a lot closer through the distance, although we only got to see each other occasionally.  This weekend, though, we got to spend so much good time together.  We went to The Field Museum (to see Sue the T-rex - When Jonathan was a kid, he LOVED dinosaurs so going to see Sue was a dream come true for him.), up in the Sears (or Willis) Tower, to Giordano's for deep dish, and to the Christkindl German Christmas Market.
