Josh & Becca's wedding album finally came in the mail today!
As I opened the box and paged through the book, I was reminded of how important it is to print photos! These days, most of us just keep your photos on facebook or your phone but there is just something so special about being able to hold them in your hands.
These memories are precious.
What if my phone died and I lost them all? How often do I look back through those files and enjoy the memories if they're just on my hard drive?
But if our photos were printed - in an album, in a frame, or even in a stack of 4x6 prints - we would be so much more likely to look at them! And what good are the photos if we don't look at them?
And not just the special moments, like a wedding - I firmly believe that all of these moments matter, which is why I love Documentary Photography.
And so I ran to the store and printed over 100 4x6 snapshots of my recent year in Chicago. I stuck them in a simple album from Hobby Lobby and now I can enjoy them all the time!
For Photos from a Professional Photo Session, I highly recommend printing your photos at a quality lab instead of Walmart or Walgreens. I spend a lot of time processing your photos just right to get accurate colors and skin tones and Pro Printing Labs have calibrated printers to make sure your photos look like they are supposed to! I recommend mpix, AdoramaPix, and UnitPrints for high quality Consumer Prints - all of them provide professional quality at reasonable prices and offer a great variety of products!
