God is so good!! I'm so excited right now!
So, I thought that I was going to have to stay here on campus for both Fall Break and Thanksgiving. I was a little dissapointed, but that's okay.
Then, the opportunity came up for me to go to Elmwood for Fall break. It was a possibility, anyway. One of my friends knew a freshman from Morrison, IL who was going home for break. There were a lot of things that had to fall into place for that to work out, though. This freshman and her roommate needed to let me ride with them. I had to get Heidi or Beth or someone to agree to come and get me... Yeah, it all had to work out. And it did!! I get to go HOME for break!! It's almost normal. I'm so stoked! Especially because I thouht it was going to have to be more than a year since my last visit... Last time I was in Elmwood was last Christmas break. I thought that the next possible time for me to go would be this Christmas. Maybe. If Jonathan was going and it works out for me to ride with him and stuff. That's still a possibility, but he gets out for break before me so I'm not really sure.
Then, I figured I would just stay here for Thanksgiving. That was okay with me. We don't really do a whole lot for Thanksgiving since we don't have any family (or friends for that matter) close by. I thought I would just stay here, spend some quality time with God and catch up on homework. Then, one of my friends, Anne, and I were talking. It came up. We talked for a while about how a roadtrip would be fun. How maybe sometime it would be cool if we could get a group together and road-trip to my house in OK... It came up that she didn't really care if she goes home for Thanksgiving because her dad won't even be home. But neither of us have a car, so we would still have to get some other people to come... So I asked some of my other friends, but I didn't really think it would work out. But it is. Maybe. Courtney told me that she would really like to come, but she has to ask her parents and she can't drive because her car probably wouldn't make it. So then I figured we wouldn't have a car and wouldn't be able to go. Then Holly told me today that she talked to her parents and she is pretty sure that she's able to go. I asked if we could take her car - we could all drive and pay for gas and stuff - and she said that would probably be okay! So, maybe, maybe, maybe, Holly, Courtney, Anne, and I will be roadtrip-ing down to Hugo for Thanksgiving break!! I'm trying not to get too excited because nothing is for sure... But it would be tons of fun; we could spend a day in Dallas doing fun stuff, hang out with my family, and stuff...
So, yeah, I'm so happy. Jesus is so good. I just couldn't hold it in anymore! :)
